The Role
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer with expertise in Playwright test automation to join our Colombo office. In this role, you will be responsible for driving quality assurance across our products by designing and executing automated test frameworks. You will work closely with developers and product teams to ensure that our applications meet the highest standards of functionality, performance, and reliability.
This is a senior role that requires both technical expertise and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with onshore teams in Sweden.
Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Playwright-based automated test frameworks.

Write and execute automated test scripts for web applications and APIs.

Collaborate with developers to identify test cases early in the development cycle.

Perform regression, integration, and performance testing.

Ensure that defects are clearly documented and resolved effectively.

Contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices and test automation coverage.

Work with Agile/Scrum teams, participating in sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.

Liaise with cross-functional teams to support timely product delivery.
Qualifications

Proven experience in QA engineering with a strong focus on test automation.

Hands-on expertise in Playwright (experience with Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools is an advantage).

Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

Experience testing large-scale, enterprise-level web applications.

Good knowledge of programming/scripting languages (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and within Agile/Scrum environments.

Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
